John has lived and taught music in the Monadnock area since the early 1980s. He graduated from Keene Sate College in 1989 with B.S. in Music, and has, by his count, taught at least 15,000 lessons. John has a wide interest in both acoustic and electric music, from country rock to his current project with a local group he calls “a little left of center”. John has played bass guitar for the northeast region touring band “Detours”, a general business function band playing classic rock. Also, John has done extensive northeast touring with several bluegrass outfits. Each lesson is individualized according to what the student is interested in—John teaches music theory along with technique.
